Ebola virus transmission between Gorilla!

Lowland gorillas from Ebola virus of traditional hosting — bat where infection with the virus, the virus to other lowland gorilla. France researchers through inspection that populations in infectious Ebola virus is a serious threat to the Congo (Brazzaville), a National Park to the survival of the Gorilla-low.

Lowland gorillas live mainly in Central Africa. According to the United Kingdom the New Scientist magazine website 10, reported that France Rennes University researchers since 2001 on Congo (Brazzaville) odzala National Park in 377 only keeps track of the lowland gorillas, and is currently on their observation of Gorilla only 30 or so.

France expert said that over the past 10 years, Ebola virus killed one third of the world about the lowland gorillas, but the virus transmission range is also expanding. As the researchers on the odzala National Park of Gorilla are very familiar with, so they clearly know what Gorilla disappeared.

Experts say that the lowland gorillas in the dry season will find the fruit on the tree, thus experiencing Ebola virus host — bat. But in 2004, the researchers found a gorilla in continuous 10 months die-offs phenomenon, this time much longer than the dry season. This means that a gorilla infected with Ebola virus, within a radius of 10 km of Gorilla are infected with the virus very quickly.

Observations indicate that the Ebola virus not only endanger a gorilla groups, but can infect those separate living male gorilla. Prior to this, some people think, live Gorilla groups with similar infrequently, may not be infected with Ebola virus. But the reality is that the virus is spreading in the Gorilla was beyond the scope, impact group is greater than the expected before.

France experts also found that the Ebola virus infected wild Gorilla's chance to live twice as the gorilla. Infection in a population, the Ebola virus approximately 97 per cent of the group members will die. Currently, researchers are inventory the odzala national park outside of lowland gorillas, Ebola virus has been affected.

Ebola virus is a human and Primate of Ebola haemorrhagic fever occurred in potent infectious virus, mortality of up to 90 per cent, is discovered by the death rate among the highest of the virus, primarily spread through blood and body fluids, an incubation period of two weeks or so. There is currently no effective against the Ebola virus.
